My name is Paul. Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, I graduated with a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Canterbury. I now work as a public policy analyst. As you will see, I am a reader of a wide-range of subjects – everything from Christian theology and sociology to self-help.
Watch for religion-, culture-, news-related items, book reviews or whatever takes my fancy on this blog.
Why the blog title? ‘Portrait’ is a old-fashioned word in today’s world of social media and mobile phones, which capture images and thoughts instantly. And ’21st century’ is the opposite – you can’t be more modern than “21st century”! This blog title, therefore, captures the feeling I have of being modern yet partly an anachronism in today’s world.
